Auro,the little Boy

Some days before the movie Paa was released I came across an article in the newspaper about a little boy suffering from a disease called Progeria. Most of us are hardly aware of what Progeria is and this very fact is being described by the film. A really wonderful performance by the Big B who played the role of Auro- a boy of 12 years old but having a body of a 80 years old man. Besides Abhishek Bacchan and Vidya balan who played Auro's parents, also did a very good job.
The story is as natural as other stories where the son brings the parents together. What was unnatural was the disease from which Auro was suffering. The story revolves round Vidya(played by Vidya balan) and Amol(played by Abhishek Bacchan) who met in abroad while they were students.Vidya became pregnant and Amol denied to take the responsibility. Vidya moves out of his life, gave birth to Auro and consequently completed her studies and became a Gynaecologist. But right from birth Auro was suffering from Progeria--a disease due to the chromosomal defect causing the body of an individual to grow at a faster rate than his mind.So therefore Auro was a boy of 12 years old but looks like an 80years old man. He had brittle bones, decayed tooth ,weak eyesight and loss of hair.He had a lifespan of only 13 years.
In the meantime Amol completed his studies and joined politics. He became a very young, talented MP who despite of many difficulties managed to win over his opposition parties by dint of ability and confidence. Amol happened to meet Auro at an exhibition in his school and from there starts his encounters with Auro.He liked Auro very much.
It was when Auro was in his death bed that he realised that Auro is his son. Realising his mistake Amol was very remorseful and wanted to come back to Vidya. But Vidya was not ready. But Auro was determined to bring back his parents together.. And in the bid to do so he got a stroke which claimed his life. But Auro was successful in his mission as his parent did become together.
That was the story of Auro an intelligent boy with an unusual disease who was granted a very short lifetime and who made his life worth by bringing back his parents together.
An overall good movie by Big B's home production A B Corp Ltd.
